This site was a complete reconstruction of a previous site for Science Insights.

The site allows artists and illustrators to post a collection of their work to the internet, without any previous web experience. They can customize their personal profile with links and images, insert custom a custom splash page, create a custom URL and reorder and hide images in their portfolio as they please, with no restrictions or necessity for previous experience.

For art buyers, the site allows them to search for images by artist, title, multiple categories and reproduction restrictions. Art buyers can send mass email to artists based on search results, or to individual artists to coordinate science, nature and medical illustration jobs.

The administration features behind the scenes allows the site coordinator to control everything from members' portfolios to mailing list registrations. The coordinator has control over all aspects of the site through an easy to use web interface, without digging into the nitty-gritty of the code.
